Understanding Price
We've all heard it, most of us have said it. "That sounds expensive."
This may be a bit tricky for many of us. As an artist myself, I've seen lots of others' work. Sometimes my first thought looking at a piece is 'wow, that's a lot', other times it's 'wow, that's really under priced'.
It doesn't have to mean the work is poor, or that you don't like it. Whether or not you like the artist's work is very subjective. Regardless, hopefully the artist has a good idea of how l

So, what is an artist anyway? What do they do? What does art do for them, and for you?
It must be nice to have fun all day. True, most artists do have fun. Generally speaking, we LOVE it. That doesn't mean artists should be, or can afford to be, doing it for free as a rule. Tips for displaying Art: Framing
Sometimes artists sell pieces ready framed. Other times, unframed. Canvasses can often be hung unframed, if you so choose. However, framing does offer the artwork some protection. If the piece you are choosing is unframed, ask the artist for their suggestions – some do their own framing, and those who don't can probably recommend at least one great framer.
