Boxes and Banners
Today my posts take a break from colour symbolism to share a project I have recently worked on. Colour Symbolism: Orange
To re-cap from the last post in this series: Sometimes colour in art is used not only because it is visually pleasing, or accurate to the subject matter. It can also be used intentionally to create a mood, emphasize a character or detail, or may contain historical, cultural or religious meaning. Some meanings may seem contradictory, or a colour may bring to mind something quite different than intended, if there are cultural differences between artist and viewer.
