Piece of the Week - Among the Irises

Among the Irises, Acrylic on Canvas. 24" x 30", 2018.

This is one I started a while ago, put down, and came back to. It's been a frustrating piece, there are elements that haven't turned out as I imagined them, but there's lots I like about it as well. I do feel pleased with the stormy light, and particularly those yellow irises in the centre. It may be worth revisiting the subject and trying out a very different look.
